Every ingredient earns its place
An ingredient goes into a formula only if it contributes to how the product performs, feels, holds up or smells. That's why our ingredient lists are short, and why we can explain every line on them. See our Ingredients page for what each one does.
It has to work in real life
Our deodorant has to get through a Texas summer. Our balms have to hold up in a pocket. Our soap has to last in a wet shower. New formulas start as small test batches, get used in daily life, and are adjusted until they're right. If a batch isn't good enough, it doesn't ship.
Scent is a signature, not a mask
We scent with essential oils and CO2 extracts only, never fragrance oils, and at low levels. Every blend and every oil in it is listed on Our Scents, and nearly everything also comes in Bare or Unscented.
Made by hand, in small batches
Everything we make is weighed, mixed, poured and labeled by hand in College Station, Texas. Small batches mean fresher products and the freedom to fix something the moment it isn't right.
Honest about what a product does
- Full ingredients on every product page.
- Realistic expectations. Our deodorant controls odor; it doesn't stop sweat.
- No wellness claims. Our products are cosmetics. We describe what they do, not what they cure, and none of them is allergy-proof.
How we choose other makers
Alongside our own products, we carry a small selection of home goods from other makers: reusable towels, refillable cleaners, dry brushes and the like. We choose products our own household uses, from makers who share our standards. Each one is clearly labeled with its maker, and many ship directly from them.
