Willow & Watch began with a simple question: what am I actually putting on my skin?
During one difficult season, my health forced me to ask it about nearly everything I used. After repeated allergic reactions, I cleared out almost all of the store-bought personal care in my home and went back to basics: tallow, Manuka honey and very little else. I wasn't chasing a trend, and I didn't assume natural automatically meant safe. I just needed fewer unknowns and a more thoughtful way forward.
From questions to formulas
So I started researching: where each ingredient came from, how it was processed, what it actually did and whether a formula truly needed it. Research became sourcing, sourcing became formulation, and formulation eventually became Willow & Watch.
The products I make today follow the rule I set for myself back then: every ingredient has to earn its place by making the product work better, feel better or last longer.
The deodorant that proved the point
Our tallow deodorant is the product I'm proudest of, because it works so well. No baking soda and no aluminum, a smooth glide, and odor handled by magnesium hydroxide and zinc ricinoleate. It's also the clearest example of what Willow & Watch is about: a short list of ingredients, each with a real job, in something you'll use every day.
Tested at home, first
My husband, Nathan, is our first and toughest tester. He puts every formula through real daily use and tells me honestly what isn't working.
That's the name, too: Willow is me, and Watch is Nathan.
What I can promise
No product is allergy-proof, and natural ingredients can still cause sensitivities. What I can promise is transparency, so you can decide what belongs in your own routine.
Everything is still made by hand, in small batches, in College Station, Texas, with the same curiosity that started it all.
